Seafood on the beach every night, watching the sunset from this deck. Food in Mexico, what a wonderful experience. The breakfast tortillas, the papaya juice, the soups, the seafood... I was taking notes.
and a dress. I could look at this forever:
I would have loved to buy more, but aggressive bargaining was so much work.

Some knitting happened as well. I am almost done with the camisole now, but I loved this floor so much, I had to show this picture.
I didn't have internet available except for about an hour and no cell phone service either. It was relaxing. But now I am slightly behind on my emails. Hope you all forgive me.

Your camisole is looking so fresh and pretty, and yes, that is some beautiful floor, they look great together, those colours.
ReplyDeleteAck, the 'haggling', I've never cared too much for it, it IS too much work.
Pretty blouse and dress!
Some? That looks like quite a lot ;-) It's lovely! So is the blouse and dress.
ReplyDeleteSo, that's where all the Beetles went! I grew up on a diet of Love Boat and always dreamt of going to Acapulco. Thanks!
These cabs must be newish... I don't remember seeing them in Acapulco when I was there about 10 years ago... The camisole looks terrific, can't wait to see it completed!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! It looks like a great trip. My grandmother loved to travel and I have a very old blouse like those that I treasure. The embroidery is just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour camisole is looking lovely, too. I can't believe you're almost done; you did that so fast! Can't wait to see a finished picture.
Looks like a fantastic place! You got some lovely textiles, too. I hate haggling myself, so I usually pay too much at markets :>

ReplyDeleteThe pattern is from Poetry In Stitches!
ReplyDeleteViva Mexico ! I love those beautiful paper cuts they have for special events. As for the embroidery it's exquisite. I guessyou can do your Frida impressions now.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I almsot fell from my chair when I saw these most awesome pics! My heart's so full with Central- and South America these days that seeing this was a total feast for my eyes - and soul! Need. To. Go. There. Too! Now!!! I've always been impressed by the wonderful crafts they're doing in Mexico - and everywhere else down there for that matter - they're so skilled and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like an absolutely glorious trip. I love your photo of the huts and the ocean at sunset! The embroidered clothing are both so beautiful. I'm glad you were able to get them. Usually I'm so put off by having to haggled over prices that I just walk away (and regret it later, of course :P).
ReplyDeleteLOL....I REMEMBER all those Volkswagon bugs everywhere, and I do mean everywhere!!!! Did you see the cliffdivers that dive and then run up the steps asking you for money?
ReplyDeleteI want to be in your photos. What amazing scenery! It looks like you have some pretty embroidered souvenirs there too. :)
